ALBA: Symphonic Textures
Composed by Luci Holland, orchestrated by Steve Brookfield
---About ALBA---
ALBA is a short film score composed by Luci Holland in 2014 and setting the words from the poem "ALBA" by John Glenday. The original score & performance of the piece for soprano, cello and piano also featured a soundscape made up of vocals from people from all over reciting words from the poem, for a short film by director Alastair Cook.
This reinterpretation of the piece, orchestrated by Steve Brookfield, features original recordings of the artists who performed on the film score, wrapped up in rich orchestral textures.
